If you’ve been following the explosive growth of generative AI, you know that AI video is moving at a breakneck pace. As an indie developer focused on building global AI SaaS products, my goal has always been to take these complex, bleeding-edge models and wrap them in a clean, accessible web experience for creators everywhere.

That’s exactly why I’m kicking off this series with my latest project: wan2-7.io.

I built wan2-7.io to be your dedicated, frictionless launchpad for this new model. I wanted to make sure that the moment Wan 2.7 drops, you have a UI that actually lets you harness its full power without fighting complex setups or clunky interfaces.

Here is exactly what you will be able to do with Wan 2.7 on the platform:

  • First-Frame & Last-Frame Video Generation: Gone are the days of the AI hallucinating wildly off-script. By defining both the start and end points, you get unprecedented control over the narrative flow and camera movement.
  • 9-Grid Image-to-Video: Need to test concepts quickly? You can batch-generate multiple video variations from a single image grid, saving time and computing credits.
  • Subject + Voice Reference: This is a game-changer for consistency. You can lock in a specific character (subject) and pair it with voice references to create highly consistent, speaking avatars or narrative characters.
  • Instruction-Based Video Editing: Instead of starting from scratch when a video is almost perfect, you can simply type instructions to tweak specific elements within the existing generation.
  • Video Recreation / Replication: See a camera angle, style, or motion you love? You can use it as a structural reference to replicate that exact vibe with your own assets.

Building wan2-7.io has been an intense sprint of full-stack development—optimizing the backend to handle these heavy generations while keeping the UI snappy and intuitive. But getting these raw capabilities into your hands is just the first chapter of the story.
